Summary: There are much better books on children's grief
Review: The Dougy Center is a pioneer in children's grief groups and is a fabulous organization. Because of that fact, I was extremely disappointed by the content of this so-called "book." The book is extremely simplistic and not worth the [money] it costs. It is more of a handout than a book. For anyone interested in helping a grieving child, I recommend he or she start [other book]. The Dougy Center can and should have done better.

Summary: This is an excellent resource
Review: This book is an invaluable resource. I've recently lost my spouse and helping my young child understand death and the reactions that come along with it is overwhelming. I didn't have time to read long text books on how to help my child. This book summed it up for me in easy to understand terms and has been a beneficial resource to me and my child during this hard time. I highly recommend this book for anybody dealing with children in grief.
