Summary: Excellent book Every Black woman should read
Review: The chapter that really touched my heart was the one about not tearing our fellow sisters down. It's so sad how black women turn against each other, and I think if more black women read that chapter that would stop. This is a wonderful, wonderful book, and I plan to order the second book, and read that. I'm sure it's equally good.

Summary: Inspiring & Intelligent!!
Review: This is a wonderful book of just good 'ole plain common sense and basic morals that our mothers' taught us, but that unfortuately some sistas' these days have thrown to the wayside.
The author Dr. Grace Cornish gives plain advice on how to avoid venomous lifestyles traits such as gold digging, man sharing, and staying in a relationship after the love and respect has gone out of it, just to name a few. Even though it may seem obvious to many that these are dead end situations that all women should avoid, why do so many of us fall into these traps anyway? Dr. Cornish interviews many women who have made choices that have been life altering in both a positive, and also in a negative life-wrecking way. She dispenses intelligent and inspiring advice for all women, whether your looking to make a change in your life or just reaffirm your beliefs. Above all, Dr Cornish stresses self-respect, self reliance, and self-love. This is a fantastic book that I passed along to several sista' friends of mine, who all found it refreshing and enlightening.
