It offers a useful way for therapists, counselors, and clients to understand and think about grief work, important information about the grief process and its many changing aspects over time, and many writing and homework exercises that clients can work on between (and in) sessions, which can also help counselors decide and structure how to best work with different clients at different stages in their grief.
