Rating: Summary: brilliant Review: While Dr. Hall might not be the best writer, the sheer brilliance of his ideas shine through. Although I found the book a bit repetive at times, I learned so much that it was easily worth it. While not useful as an Introduction to NLP (for that, see Joseph O'Connors Introducing Neuro-Linguistic Programming), this book provides a fabulous framework for understanding the mind: Dr. Hall's Meta-State model is both practical and powerful, and does a fabulous job of integrating all the disparate threads that make up NLP. On a more personal level, since I have not yet masterd the ability to accurately visualize, I found Dr. Hall's emphasis on language particularly useful. If you are looking for a primer on NLP, look elsewhere -but if you want to deepen your understanding of NLP, you won't go wrong with Dragon Slaying by Dr. Michael Hall.
