Review: Basically, Andersen's books all come down to one central message. You'll know why when you've read them. The Greatest Power in the Universe is a valuable part in this this series. The author describes methods of attaining personal peace, a positive attitude and success that includes, but goes far beyond the materialistic level. At the same time the reader gains understanding of Andersen's philosophy, which is very enlightened (and enlightening)and transcends the borders of individual philosophies and religions. We are presented with a set of ideas that are free of dogmatism. It soon becomes evident that there is no "brainwashing" involved, that the author's conclusions are self-explanatory once you grasp them. And they are easy to understand. The style is not complicated, just as the contents are not really complicated. The most difficult aspect may even lie in the simplicity of these ideas. So this book is a perfect choice for all who wish to extend their horizons, are interested in the subject matter generally or simply want to achieve specific goals in whatever aspect of their lives. Those who usually are skeptical of terms like 'spirituality' will discover that this subject can be free of all the dark and heavy mystery that we unfortunately find so often.

To conclude: A perfect balance between truly ineteresting information and the step-by-step means to turn that information into successful, peaceful and happy living. A work of timeless value.

Review: The first book I read of Andersen's was "Three Magic Words". I read it decades ago (it was originally published in 1950) and I thought it was wonderful. Later I read his "Success Cybernetics", which I found horrible, grotesque, bizarre! In fact, I found it hard to fathom that the same person wrote those two books, and from then on I had Andersen labeled as a Fast-Buck Artist, Con Job Man, and a parasite who made money off of fads and trends which unfold within a society every now and then (in this case, the trend of desiring higher consciousness, illumination, etc.) And you know, I HAD this book (The Greatest Power In The Universe) for a couple of decades as well, but never bothered to read it after the shocking experience I had gotten from the clash of Three Magic Words and Success Cybernetics. Boy, was not reading this one a MISTAKE IN SPADES!
I was bored recently, and came across The Greatest Secrets In The Universe sitting in the basement covered with dust. So, just for amusement and something to do, I decided to read it. Well, boys and girls, did I get an eye opening! In this work (easily one of his best and most profound, as well and most multi-dimensional) Andersen not only fuses together Three Magic Words and Success Cybernetics, he enlightens the reader as to why he wrote the other two titles in such a way and how they represent two halves of a whole which he was only able to synthisize when he trained his brainwaves through a neurofeedback device (in fact, he mentions a phone call he got from a fellow who read Three Magic Words and Success Cybernetics, and who accused him of being a con artist and shyster!).
He also refines Kundalini Yoga, Meditation, and Chakra stimulation. One example of his magnificent intellect can be found in the life-way of "Ecology" he develops and explains in this book. Another example is the mantra he develops for his completely workable system, which is:
"Oom stu gah dyu ahn dye ahr", which by the way, is "You And I Are Homes To God" as it becomes when the sounds begin to run together while you chant it over and over for about 15 minutes. Best of all, this information is not dicatorial, but easily generates interest in the reader and keeps it because the book is written as a narrative and reads like an exciting novel.
As far as I am concerned now, Uell S. Andersen deserves to be ranked as one of the most original thinkers and cutting-edge explorers of higher consciousness in the Western World within the last four centuries at least. His books definitely should NOT be relegated to the dung heap of "Self Help" drek and drivel either. They do offer profound philosophy, workable self-technology, rapier logic, and captivating horizons of what is possible in terms of human potential.
DO GET THIS BOOK! In it you've got a whole, unique, practical, workable system that will bring on higher consciousness. And, best of all, now you can obtain hand-held neurofeedback machines very cheaply, alpha and theta CD's, and everything else you need to make Andersen's system take you to realms of the Universal Mind you never dreamed of.
If you ever doubted Andersen's perspectives or the content of his other books, you really need to read this book before you make a final decision!

Summary: AMAZING! BRILLIANT! A METAPHYSICAL ORGASM!
Review: This was my greatest discovery of last year. An incredible, amazing book that reads like a thriller. It covers the field of brainwaves (alpha, theta, etc) as a door to the subconscious mind, the author's use of an alpha meter and his fascinating exploration of how to induce these receptive brainwave states. He tells of his research with various drugs in inducing altered states: acid, alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, marijuana etc. He also deals with the chakras, yoga, meditation, hypnosis and nutrition in great detail. Other topics encompass the male/female forces, sex ecology, psychic power, the brotherhood of light, the master self, the master game and the master plan. A charming read on many levels and a treasure trove of mystical insight. I have also read the author's Three Little Words but for me this book is far better. I originally read this book in one day because I couldn't tear myself away, and soon I'll read it again, but this time I'll study it properly by reading a chapter a day. Essential reading for those interested in metaphysics, self-improvement and all aspects of the esoteric. Fans of especially Stuart Wilde's books will love it!
