Rating: Summary: Illness in the Analyst: a Review Review: This book is a compilation of articles, written by psychoanalysts, psychologists and social workers who have become seriously ill during their careers. They examine their reactions and the effects of their illnesses on the therapy they do. As a psychotherapist who recently became seriously ill, I found this book to be a tremendous source of support, in that it gave words to the experiences I was having of doing therapy while sick. I felt like I had found a support group, and reading it made me feel less alone. Highly recommended!
