Review: At last, art therapy educators, students and practitioners have a comprehensive text on group art therapy that they can add to their personal libraries - and an excellent one at that. As an educator who has taught group art therapy for many years, I couldn't be happier. I have waited a long time for just such text to make my teaching easier. Not only does this book provide a good introduction to the advantages of using art in a group therapy context, but it also offers in-depth discussion and examples of how to utilize the art to the best therapeutic advantage for different age groups and different patient populations. Further, I can report that student art therapists of my acquaintance have also received this highly rewarding and very readable book with considerable enthusiasm. I have no qualms about recommending it to anyone who wishes either to teach others or to study the group art therapy process. (Sometimes, what one wishes for really does come true!)
