Rating: Summary: Wild animals don't get cancer - eat your way to health. Review: When my husband was diagnosed with a grade 2 and 3 brain cancer last year, we searched high and low for alternative therapies while undergoing the conventional western medicine treatments. This book was the only book that did not suggest anything radical like stop chemotherapy all together. Dr. Dries introduces the concept of phytochemicals and how the amount of sunlight food absorb can contribute to our health. The book comes with a table of what to eat and in what priority that helps when you photocopy it and paste it on your fridge or take with you to go grocery shopping. Three months of raw fruit and vegetalbes is a tough thing to do especially in winter, but my husband lost his steroids induced puffiness in one week and after a massive rash attack that was probably the result of detoxing, he gradually lost weight and it stopped at his weight when he was 17. Thanks to this book, he is now healthy enough to swim up to 4 km a day, bowls 5 games a week, and does all the house work with no problems. He had miniml side effects while undergoing chemotherapy and his last scans indicated much scarring, but "no visible tumor activity." That from a patient who was told he had two years!
