Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Superb!
Review: Just finished rereading the text for the second time, and I am even more impressed. Excellent suggestions for handling most situations that most hypnotherapists will encounter. Kevin Hogan has "opened" his practice technique book to us all! This book should be required reading for all hypnosis courses, and programs!

Summary: Finally, a REAL "how to" book for Hypnotherapy
Review: The Hypnotherapy Handbook is a fine example of how to do hypnotherapy in contrast to simple suggestive hypnosis. The Hypnotherapy Handbook, while the product of Kevin Hogan, also boasts some incredible contributors like Mary Lee LaBay and Devin Hastings. Their contributions take an excellent manual and turn it into what may be the most important book written in the field. I trained with Kevin Hogan years ago and this book is a good start to learning just what is possible with hypnotherapy. Chapters about the Therapeutic Alliance and Emergency Hypnosis are outstanding. Overall a balanced view of hypnotherapy as not alternative but complementary to medicine. This book is respectful of traditional medicine and explores the envelope of hypnotic explorations.
