Summary: Thoughts of a disappointed squirrel lover.
Review: I do not recommend this book. I thought it was impossible for me to dislike anything "squirrely," but I didn't like the Handicapped Squirrel. Most of the photographs were out of focus, and the story was poorly written.

As I understand her story, the author apparently found a squirrel, treated it as a pet (many of the pictures are of the squirrel with baby toys), and then let it loose in her yard where it fell and broke it's leg. The leg had to be amputated.

No respect is given to the squirrel as a wild creature and no proper advice given on wildlife rehabilitation. Prettily drawn borders are on each page, but this does not compensate for poor photography and a confused story.
