Summary: A Serious Subject Which Needed To Be Addressed
Review: 'He Belonged To Us' by Aurora Borealis is a work of fiction.
This book is about underage drinking and the fierce competition of high school basketball.
Violence takes place in professional basketball and alcohol is a strong factor in this violence.
Violence also takes place in high school basketball and underage drinking triggers this violence.
I believe what happened to the young man in this story was over the competition of high school basketball.
I purchased the book itself and found it to read very smoothly.
In a perfect world all books would be written about happy positive fantasy land subjects.
Thank you Aurora Borealis for writing a work of fiction on a serious subject that someone had to speak out against.

Summary: THROUGH MANY TEARS
Review: THE YOUNG BOY LATER YOUNG MAN IN THIS STORY IS AN ATHLETE. PATRICK IS A NATURAL AT THE SPORTS OF BASKETBALL AND GOLF. DESTINED TO BE ON THE PGA TOUR! AS I READ THIS BOOK; I FELT AS IF I PERSONALLY KNEW PATRICK' THE MAIN CHARACTER. I READ THIS BOOK THROUGH MANY TEARS. THE ENDING OF HE BELONGED TO US WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! I WAS LEFT WONDERING WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO PATRICK ON HIS WAY HOME ALONG THAT DESOLATE HIGHWAY? I HOPE THERE IS A SEQUEL TO THIS BOOK.
ONE GETS A FEELING THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY OF PATRICK.

Summary: SAD BUT TRUE
Review: THIS WAS A TERRIBLE BOOK TO READ. THE SUBJECT MATTER IS VERY DEPRESSING AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE AUTHOR FOR HER LOSS. HOWEVER, THIS IS A VERY POORLY WRITTEN BOOK. THE GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION ALONE MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO WADE THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOOK. THERE WAS AN ABUNDANCE OF CONTRADICTIONS IN HER DESCRIPTION OF THE RESIDENTS IN THE SMALL TOWN. IN HER OPINION, THEY WERE "BACKWOODS, CLANNISH VILLAGE PEOPLE" WHO DID NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT HER SON; THEN SHE GOES ON TO DESCRIBE THE ASSISTANCE OFFERED TO HER AND HER SON BY HIS BOSS AND A LOCAL MECHANIC AND THE OUTPOURING OF SYMPATHY FOR HER WHEN SHE LOST HER SON. THE AUTHOR'S INTENTION, WHICH SHE STATED WAS TO SAVE ONE YOUNG LIFE, WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ACHEIVED HAD SHE ASKED A VILLAGER FOR ASSISTANCE IN EDITING. I BELEIVE THE MESSAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE EASILY UNDERSTOOD AND THE WARNING MORE READILY HEEDED IF BASIC GRAMMAR RULES HAD BEEN FOLLOWED.
