Review: a disappointing hodge podge of essays, some of which stand out as being knowledgeable and related to the theme, others much less so...which raises the question of why they were even part of this "collage"...is it their particular affiliation to any of the two editors? I would still recommend this book for the lack of any other sources at the moment on the important reconstruction of Beirut, yet anyone looking for a truly critical and coherent collection of essays should look elsewhere...
