Summary: THE BEST BOOK I've ever read (amd I've read a lot)
Review: Words escape me here on how good this book is. It's all true and so well written it's amazing.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Re-live colonial AMerica
Review: Would you like to know what life in 18TH century America was like? Read this book, as well as the other Allan W. Eckert narratives. Eckert is a masterful sotry-teller, who's writing takes you back to the days of colonial America. I have read all of the narratives and am on my second go 'round. Eckert pulls no punches in his discriptions and can get a little "bloddy" in places, but, history proves these were rough and dangerous times and many of the described incidences are based on first hand accounts and actual events. Don't like history? You will after reading these books!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The frontier and more
Review: You'll be hard pressed to find a book on frontier life that is more detailed and in-depth than Alan Eckert's "Frontiersmen." Anything else I say about the novel would diminish the experience.

If you're generally bored with fragmented fact gushing history books then you'll love this book. Anything Eckert tells you about anybody or anyplace in the novel comes back into play later in the story.
