I have read it and find that the treatment is pretty thorough and that the writing is good.

If you enjoyed the chapter about the Fourth Crusade in "Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds" this expands the story to cover the entire idiotic endeavor that's even going on today.

How can anybody read this and still think that monotheism may be a good idea? Well, at least we Turks should be thankful to the Crusaders for so weakening Byzantium that Constantinople was ready for picking.
