Rating: Summary: My Brother's Voice Review: I find it very hard to select the right words to express my reaction to the story. The terms "excellent","Professional",and "engaging" come to mind but they don't seem to do the book justice. The prevalence of good over evil is always desireable and satisfying and it is present here in the form of Stephen's personal victory: "Survival in spite of incalculable odds". Philosophically, I finally concluded that the importance of this book, in this period of moral relativism and the denial of absolutes, is the conclusive portrayal of ABSOLUTE EVIL.
Rating: Summary: A love story Review: I read this book 10 years ago when it was still a manuscript on my grandfather's desk, and it is still a gut wrenching story even today. Stephen Nasser, or Zaide (to me), tells this story in great detail and pure emotion. We all take for granted how fortunate we are to have some of the joys in our life, Stephen's book makes us take another look at our life and what we have, and truly appreciate what we have. He is an inspiration to myself and to my children. I am proud of the book that he has written and the fact that I have a copy to hand down to my children.
Rating: Summary: Shocked!!!! Review: I've just finished reading Mr. Nasser's memoir and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who is interested in learning more about the Holocaust and the atrocities so many people faced because of it. I am in awe of how "Pista" at such a young age was able to survive something so horrific as a concentration camp and all the cruelty's he endured there. It is also amazing to see how he was able to almost immediately move forward and put his life back together again after the war. This is a remarkable story written by a remarkable man.
Rating: Summary: Elaina Saperstein-Realtor from Las Vegas Review: Incredible! I couldn't put it down. This cruelty should never have happened but it did and Stephen's memories and his brother's voice will be with me forever. Thank you Stephen for sharing your story with the world. Elaina Saperstein
Rating: Summary: My Uncle's Voice Review: Let me first start by saying when I was growing up I referred to the author as "Uncle Steve". Yes he is my father's cousin. I was never told about the Holocost until Schindler's List came out and my father told me everything. I am 26 now and reading this book has changed my outlook on life. To tell u the truth I havent finished the book. The reason is because it is soo hard to go on. It hurts me to read the horror and pain "uncle steve" went through. Being an emotional person I cry at the end of every chapter. I have been reading this book between work and school in my car. People must wonder why is she crying?? If they only knew. When I finish this book I will write a better review. But as for now I recommend EVERYONE of all ages to read and learn about this atrocity. This book should be made into a movie so the whole world can view the kind of evilness Hitler created. I do not take things for granted anymore. Uncle Steve I love you and you are #1!!!! I will get this story across to everyone...

Rating: Summary: Stephen is a gift! Review: Stephen Nasser's retelling the experience of surviving and rising from the depth of evil which took away his family, friends and youth, is an all inspiring story and a gift to all human kind! Amid the horrors of the halocaust and the fifty years following, Stephen has managed to keep intact not only the beauty of his own soul but that of his brothers! His smile is the tell all!
Rating: Summary: Gripping Story of Survival Review: This book details a thirteen year old boy's experiences in WW11 Nazi prison camps. How a boy so young was able to survive such horrible conditions is truly amazing. This story is so important to be told so that the world understands that noone can stand by and ever let such an atrocity happen again! My hope is that this book becomes a best seller. With this fisthand account, noone can deny that the holocaust happened. This story is written in an easy to understand style and is gripping from start to finish.
