Summary: The truth about J. Edgar Hoover
Review: R. Andrew Kiel's book is a fascinating look into the many facets of J. Edgar Hoover. This book begins with a well documented look into Hoover's early involvement in the fight against communism. Next Kiel takes an extraordinary look into the secrets, lies and untruths behind the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Hoover's possible involvement. The last section deals with Hoover's involvement in the escalation of troops in Vietnam during the Johnson administration. In the end, Kiel leaves you wondering how we could have been so naive to trust our government so blindly. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a fascination with history and a desire for the truth.

Summary: Pie in the sky
Review: William Jennings Bryan abdicated his position as secretary of state under Woodrow Wilson because of Wilson's policy of strict accountability for Germany after the sinking of the Lusitania. This is one of many things my history teacher, R Andrew Kiel, taught me.
