Summary: Heli flight in the hell
Review: Mills wrote this book with his open mind. I almost feel the fear of the many scout flight he did in Vietnam. If you like flying a helicopter you will like this book. The chapter that he saves another crew that was downed by the enemy from the mud with all instruments on red arc is incredible.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Experience the Vietnam War with the Air Cavalry
Review: Mills' book tells it like it was! I should know, I'm Joe Crockett, his first crewchief mentioned in Chapter Four. I find Hugh Mills' to be a great pilot, and great man, and a great author. This isn't an easy story to tell, but Hugh manages to allow even the novice to the Vietnam War, a chance to ride in the cockpit of a Hughes OH-6A "Loach"! It had been 28 years since Hugh and I flew missions together and reading "Low Level Hell" took me back to a time, rich in experience. I highly reccomend this book to anyone with the slightest interest in Army Aviation and the Vietnam War!

Summary: Low Level Hell
Review: Riveting is the mildest description I can use. Hugh Mills Jr. tells the tale of the Loch as well as it can be told. Dark Horse saved my rear and the rears of my best friends. If you have even the slightest inkling as to what the helicoptors did for our Viet Nam vets you NEED TO READ THIS BOOK. I salute Hugh Mills Jr. HELL OF A BOOK

Summary: Onion Flavored Jello???
Review: This is one of the most interesting books I've read. It has the makings of an classic. It is an epic tale of a OH-6 Scout pilots exploits in Vietnam. Hugh Mills, the author and subject of the story brings to life his experiences as a young man during the Vietnam conflict. A true tale of guts, glory, and compassion. A must read!
