Summary: A great introduction
Review: By far the best introduction to the topic I've yet to read, Bregman reveals the crucial details of each of Israel's major armed conflicts, from their root causes to the strategies used in combat. Bregman does not whitewash the truth, and is honest about atrocities and errors on both sides of the Arab-Israeli conflict.

My only complaint is that the book contains several humiliating grammatical errors, something I wouldn't expect coming from Routledge.
