Rating: 5 stars
Summary: From 1607 to 1877!
Review: An absolute "sleeper," this book is a definite "Must-Have" for any serious student/teacher/professor/researcher/grad student of U.S. history. "Overview" hardly captures it!

The comprehensiveness is extraordinary. Nearly a period of three hundred years in one neat volume!

This book is especially highly recommended for European or Asian researchers of U.S. history, as well as exchange students and first-time foreign students in the USA. Winston Churchill could have well used a book like this one when he wrote his famous volumes about America. Pity he didn't have it at hand at that time, as he was making history himself.

Summary: A good book for American history
Review: The Way We Lived is a good book for anyone who is interested in American History. I have read serveral chapters of it and I feel that it's a level of understanding for everyone. If you're looking for background information, this book is great. Also, this is a good book for students who are interested in learning the background situations that have occurred in our history.
