Submarine Warfare: An Illustrated History

Summary: Good, basic submarine book.
Review: If you're looking for a thorough design history, try Norman Friedman's book. If you want nice photos and drawings of all the major boats from before WW I to present this is your book. It's easy to read, has enough detail for all but the techno-geeks like me and is reasonably priced. There are a few missed details and errors, but by-and-large it's great. Nice effort.
