Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Bancroft Award Winner for History
Review: The Age of Roosevelt is a classic profile of Franklin Roosevelt during the New Deal by a Pulitzer Prize winning historian. It captures the Roosevelt presidency while still fresh and personal and is a pleasure to read.

Book one, "Crisis of the Old Order," won the Bancroft Prize in 1958 and is considered a timeless classic. The Age of Roosevelt is essential reading for readers of FDR.

Unfortunately, the four books are very lengthy for most general readers. Leuchtenburg one-volume biography "Franklin D. Roosevelt" may be better choice for most readers.
