Summary: The Revolution of The Mentally Dead delivers X Factor
Review: 3. The Revolution of The Mentally Dead delivers more than the X Factor of Black history ; it is an intelligent and challenging look at racial politics in Today's society (and by extension in the rest of the developed African American History). It is a brutally honest book that, many who will have read it, will have to re-read again to understand it. By far this will be one book you must have on your bookshelf for years to come.

Summary: Man... this book struck me.
Review: Man... this book struck me. Darrin Osborne has delivered a book that may turn out to be just that for some readers. He has trumpeted the wake-up call for those of us working on the corporate plantation. Osborne brings forth a book that is relentless in its pursuit of the truth. This project actually began with the research for the cover story "The Revolution of the mentally dead. This book is a collection of hard facts that once you read it you cannot depute arguably some of the most powerful black history facts and figures you cannot disagree with. Osborne delivers a fascinating revelation about the revolution that has changed addresses from "uptown" to downtown. The integrity of over years of investigative research and his ability to bond with the history. He makes you peel back the façade of mannequin smiles covering for the racial equality propaganda so prevalent in today's mainstream rhetoric. Osborne reveals how far some of the post-Civil Rights generation has come and discloses how very far they still must go to get to the promised land of racial equality. He discusses openly how the civil rights movement has allowed African-Americans to accomplish more than our parents could have dreamed It has created a business collective where the color of skin is made so strenuously unimportant that it actually becomes the most important thing of all. It begets a classic demonstration of when anyone tries so hard not to think of something the inverse causes everyone to focus on it even more. There was a fear nothing attitude amongst the subjects in the book you must own it. It's the new and improved African American history book. If I could give this book 6 stars I would .

Summary: Maybe the best book on AIDS since Randy Schultz's
Review: Maybe the best book on AIDS since Randy Schultz's "And the Band Plays On". Osborne weaves an intricate and complex narrative incorporating several important themes of the history of AIDS in the Black Community. Whereas Schlitz covered the story of AIDS from Fire Island and San Francisco, Osborne starts his book with a history time walker. Along the way he describes the influences of seemingly disparate trends in destructive way of life for black people the real epidemic to define an epidemic that is as different in the Black Community as night is to day. This book is a MUST Read to anyone working in the field of HIV/AIDS. Case Managers, Program Designers and especially those who sit on Ryan White Title 1 Councils will find it every useful. It is an invaluable resource in comprehending not only the history of AIDS in the Black Community but a resource in understanding how to cope with the problems facing AIDS and the Black Community today.

Summary: a real vision of African American politics.
Review: Osborne's book charts the rise and fall of a hypothetical politician in an attempt to better discover what makes and motivates the species. The book is extremely well researched with a liberal sprinkling of anecdotes, facts and conjecture. The writing style is gloriously indirect and verbose in a very history teacher way, something that might not appeal to all, but which for me added to the joy of reading. Definitely a buy recommendation if you have an interest in a real vision of African American politics.

Summary: only a slice of the pie in the sky.
Review: The Revolution of The Mentally Dead of is only a slice of this pie in the sky. Osborne's' uncovers the new definition of African American History and what are the criteria of wielding such power. He also discusses Black people's place in this modern daydream scheme and predicts them to be the next power brokers. You just gotta buy this book !!!

Summary: This book is a must have for anyone
Review: This book is a must have for anyone who thinks they know the real African American. The Revolution of The Mentally Dead will institute its self, as a testament to the only way to "The Revolution of the 21st Century has begun" is to become the power. Osborne has gone a long way to distinguish that the battlefield has moved to the boardroom. And quite frankly, we are running short on true soldier.
