Summary: Boycott this Garbage
Review: Don't spend a penny supporting this horrible group terrorist lovers. There is no point in reading this because they have fabricated their lies and are only trying to raise more money so they can shelter more terrorists en route to their homocide bombing missions. Garbage...total garbage.

Summary: Where are not the ISM members Sudan when you need them bad?
Review: For some reason the ISM members are flocking into Israel. Why are not they going to Chechnya, Kashmir, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Nigeria, Shri Lanka, Liberia, Somalia, etc. There are 100 hot spots around the world; 191 countries are registered with the UN. Where do they go? Israel. Why? Because nobody would ever hear from them in either Sudan or Chechnya. However, there are more reporters in 1 square mile in Israel than in all 22 Arab states combined. Why? Because anything about Jews/Israel sells. It is just like sex. In addition, the 9-mile wide Israel, unlike the 22 Arab states with vast land and immense natural resources, is free and democratic. Do the members of the ISM realize that most Arab states don't recognize Israel within any borders? The Arab states have tried to wipe out Israel on many occasions but failed. The Palestinian Arab terror/demographic war/PR war/etc. is their last attempt to dislodge the Jewish state. If you want to read how the Western "activists", "internationals", "humanists" justify their interference into Israel, the Palestinian areas, rather than Kashmir, Tibet, Colombia, Georgia and many other areas where they are needed then buy this book.

Summary: Israeli State Terrorism and Western Complicity
Review: Given the Western media's strong pro-Israel bias, it is often easy to overlook the fact that Palestinians were evicted overnight from their homeland to make room for Israel just so that the West could atone for its criminal neglect of the Jews during Nazism. This book helps us remember the truth about the Middle East.

In a recent short review, John Pilger wrote (Outlook India, June 25, 2004): "With a foreword by Edward Said, who died last year, this is the story of the "internationals": the outstanding, mostly young people who go to the Occupied Territories and Gaza to bear witness and defend Palestinian families from the might of the Israeli military, especially the bulldozers that demolish their homes. The story of the heroism of Rachel Corrie and Tom Hurndall and their murder by the Israelis, in acts of terrorism as explicit as any suicide bombing, is painful to read, but necessary."

Summary: Well done ISM!
Review: I had the opportunity to volunteer with this wonderful peaceful group and I was deeply impressed with all of the volunteers of any age. For those who might complain about the motives of ISM it is because they have never walked a day in the footsteps of a Palestinian. I have. I have tried to help young children go to school while being teargassed by Israeli forces. Those who question what ISM is doing haven't been there I will bet. This is a wonderful tribute! Cherie Clark a proud ISM volunteer

Summary: Ausumn book!
Review: I read this book from a friend of mine and I found myself totally captivated by the lives and courage these volunteers and Palestinians face on a daily basis. It shows people on an international point of view how brutal the Israeli gov't is and how uncivilized they can also be.
Hopefully one day the Israelis will see what their gov't is doing I am sure they already know but like us americans they are mere sheeple people.
Makes you wonder why would a human being turn themselves into suicide bombers when they have so much to live for, but in reality they dont have anything to live for....No school, no work, no money, no land, no freedom, they must carry racist ID cards just like the Nazis did to the Jews that state their religion and what ghetto they live in. A Palestinian from one ghetto can not go shopping in another Palestinian ghetto..Can you imagine being restricted to one little suburb and if the police caught you out of your jurisdiction you are killed, jailed, or never heard of again! UNREAL! but yet the Israelis are free to roam as they wish taking Palestinian land as they wish..Russian and Euro Jews have more rights than the Palestinian themselves who have been there before time.....
Checkpoints, humiliation, beatings..my g-d how do these poor Palestinian live. READ THE BOOK.

Summary: How to fool some of the people all of the time
Review: I simply cannot believe how the International Solidarity Movement has succeeded in selling itself as a peace movement to gullible misinformed people
No organisation that condones suicide bombing, obstructs the legitimate defence forces of a democratic country, and incites people to violence and hatred can claim to be peaceful
In painting the ISM in a positive light this book loses all credibility.
To understand the meaning of peace under fire, the authors should visit the families of the many victims of terror, gunned down by "martyred" suicide bombers whose bombs are filled with nails and rat poison to inflict as much damage as possible.
And incidentally, could the authors tell me where is the Palestine they write about. Sadly because Arafat and the Palestinian authority has consistently refused to accept a state of Palestine, in accordance with the two state solution Israel's Prime Minister and his government so actively support, surely as yet no such place exists.
The sooner it does, the sooner the region might experience much wanted peace for the benefit of everyone.
But the only people who can make that dream a reality are the Palestine leaders.
this book does a disservice to the Palestinian people in its dishonesty.

Summary: ISM - An organization supporting murderers.
Review: If the ISM were truly interested in peace and human rights for everyone, they would offer solidarity with Israeli children by traveling with them on buses, sitting with them in restaurants, and standing with them near their schools - all of which are regular targets for Palestinian suicide bombers. ISM fully supports these terrorists. They would like to remove the fence that Israel had to erect to protect its citizens.
If the "Palestinians" would have agreed to have their own state in 1948 instead of attacking the Jews, they would now be prospering instead of raising their children to blow themselves up.

Summary: Truth Under Fire
Review: If you wish to read a one-sided, tendentious account of the Arab-Israel conflict, then this is the book for you.

Before reading the book however, it's worth bearing in mind several points:

1) The ISM was set up and is funded by Palestinians.

Though it claims to be dedicated to the principles of non-violent resistance, it has demonstrated no interest in peace for Israelis. It's website supports "the Palestinian right to resist Israeli violence and occupation via legitimate armed struggleEi.e. killing Israelis is justified.

The group's spokesman, Raphael Cohen stated that the group's view of peace is "a one state solutionEi.e. the termination of Israel.

The group admitted hosting the two British `human bombsE who murdered 4 Israelis in Tel-Aviv in April 2003. And, on 27th March 2003, ISM in Gaza was caught harbouring Islamic Jihad terrorist Shadi Sukiya.

ISM's activities in the territories involve physically impeding the work of the IDF, including preventing the army locating and destroying terrorist arms smuggling tunnels.

2) Whilst the ISM claims not to be antisemitic, it is notable that they are interested only in Israel's actions in the territories, and utterly disinterested in the horrific state-persecution of Jews in Arab countries.

3) The Arabs of Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza lived under an illegal Jordanian/Egyptian military occupation between 1948 and 1967. No "International volunteersEsuch as ISM, were interested in "bearing witnessEto the suffering of Palestinian Arabs during this time.

4) Jews have lived continually in Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza for up to 3,300 years - that is, until the massacres and expulsions of Jews from those areas, by Arabs during the attacks of the 1920's, 30's and 40's.

5) East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza were captured from Jordan and Egypt in a war which the Arabs initiated in June 1967 - a war which Egyptian President, Abdel Nasser said, was intended to "drive the Jews into the seaE

6) UN Security Council Resolutions call upon Israel to withdraw only to, "secure and recognised boundariesE(i.e. not the 1949 Armistice (or Green) Line) and only once the Arabs have ended their conflict with Israel.

7) Peace Treaties between Israel and the Palestinians call upon both sides to agree on the borders of any future Palestinian state in final status negotiations.

8) At the Taba Conference, In January 2001, the Palestinians were offered a Palestinian state in Gaza and a net 100% of the West Bank (with a 3% land swap), with its capital in Arab parts of Jerusalem and compensation for genuine Palestinian Arab refugees.

9) Yasser Arafat rejected the offer, claiming that four million Arabs (who claim they are descended from the 600,000 who left during the Arab assault on Israel in 1948) must be allowed to transfer to Israel Ea move that would inevitably lead to the termination of the state of Israel.

10) Since rejecting the Israeli peace offer, the PLO has incited, funded, orchestrated and unleashed over 20,000 terror attacks against Israeli civilians, which have killed and maimed many 1000's of Israelis.

11) Israeli army checkpoints, barriers, demolition of arms smuggling tunnels and attacks on terrorist leaders have reduced the number of deadly terrorist attacks by over 80%.

Summary: More Terrorist poo-pooing
Review: The book is a completely waste of time and money. More arab propaganda claiming that killing people is all right, and the "opression" of palestinians with levi's on and mobile devices next to their ears. I think I will try to write one like this to explain my own opression with my bank, just in case I decide walking in and putting a gun in front of the desk. The most bizarre thing of all is that this "solidarity movement" claims that "solidarity" means killing jews, blowing themselves up in cafes and trading with weapons. More rubbish to amazon.

Summary: A wolf in sheeps clothing
Review: This book is only an attempt for ISM activism to portray itself as an innocent lamb, when 'wolf' would be a better descriptive. Brian Avery of the Los Angeles Times reported that , an ISM activist injured in Israel, sent his family an email telling that "the group's main 'actions', consisted of 'being monitors and witnesses at military checkpoints' and 'lodging in the homes of the families of individuals who chose suicide bombing as their method of resisting the occupation.' " (Oct. 26, 2003). ISM is nothing but a bunch of apologists for Palestinian cruelty, which this book seeks to obfuscate.
