Summary: A Must Have for the Continuing Study of the Holocaust
Review: The holocaust continues to have a dramatic effect on society. This book offers insights through the essays of holocaust surviors and their offspring into the many questions about the event itself and its aftermath. The co-editors each have a parent who is a survivor and each contributed an essay about the effects of the holocaust on their lives and the lives of their children. Irene Raab Epstein's essay at the beginning of the book may be the most enlightening essay on what it is like to realize that you had survived the event when many others had simply lost their will to survive.
