Rating: Summary: I Built It Review: This is undoubtedly the best series of books on 18th century ship building that I have ever seen. Mr. Boudriot is an outstanding illustrator and the translation from French to English is a tremendous accomplishment when you consider the numerous obsolete maritime terms and vocabulary involved. I can attest to the accuracy of the plans and descriptions since I scratch built the ship as a plank-on-frame model(7000 M/Hs) complete with all decks and fittings. The Volume on rigging is expertly done and the proof of its accuracy is that all lines run true without contacting each other. My congratulations to the author. I hope it will be reprinted as I've had numerous requests to sell my set. Not a chance!
