Rating: Summary: Great reference! Review: This a great book on the British army and its campaigns in the far east during the Second World War. The book starts off with several overviews on the operations conducted by the British army in this theartre -- from Burma to Madagasgar (as well as a short paragraph on Thailand!). And then we go onto the interesting bits: uniform details and information on the equipments used! This is just perfect for the miniature wargamer or modeller who needs to know these details; aye, they're useful all right. The paintings by Mike Chappell are also well done, they seemed to have perfectly conveyed the individual "uniformality" of the troops of XIVTH Army! This is a great and excellent book, reccommend for anyone interested in the uniforms and equipments of the British army in the Far East, although people looking for historicaly detailed accounts of the campaigns should only buy this book as an introductory.
