Rating: Summary: A must for the A Level student in the U.K. Review: This book really is the Bible for the British History A Level student. Lee takes the long studied topics of the A Level syllabus and discusses them from new angles, spiced up by a succession of memorable and incisive one-liners. There is no more highly recommended text, both in factual content and accesibility in presentation. In particular, its coverage of great individuals in the politically unstable atmosphere of nineteenth century Britain is unparalleled at this level of study. While it is true that more analytical works such as Michael Scott-Bauman's "Years of Expansion" can give a more detailed account of this period, it is the way that "Aspects of British Political History" has been tailored to the needs of the A Level student which has made it the core text of many A Level History courses in Britain.By Christopher J. Lewis
