Review: This book is not, repeat NOT, the hardcover edition of Paul Schroeder's seminal monograph "The Transformation of European Politics, 1763-1848," published by Oxford University Press in 1994 (pbk 1996, ISBN 0198206542). It is in fact a fine collection of scholarly essays that takes Schroeder's earlier work as its point of departure. The "used" and "paperback" editions to which Amazon is pointing you [above] are not, repeat NOT editions of this book. Similarly, the reader's review [also above] is misapplied, and has nothing to do with this edited volume (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002, ISBN 0-312-29552-9).
