Both the first time visitor or the long time resident will find this an entertaining as well as informative look at San Diego's history.

Mr. Innis has done his homework on history and masterfully folded in elements of style into a repast for the reader's taste.

Review: I am a second generation San Diegan and that caused me to pick up the book, but good reading kept me going. The well written stories made it a perfect bedtime read for a little each night, but I got so involved that I always wanted to read "just one more". I thought I knew my local history, but there was just so much more there to learn.

Review: I seriously could not put this book down. There are so many different stories and legends in San Diegos history. I lived in San Diego for 30 years and had heard a few of these tales, but to have them all together. Wow!

Review: This book really surprised me--it has so many great stories about San Diego. I was amazed to learn about so many things I didn't know and I've lived around here all my life. I got the book at a store in Old Town when I was visiting ( I live in Oceanside, California) the Sate park, and then I found myself reading alot of the book that night when I just picked it up to look at it. I'm going to keep it by my bedsie and read little bits now to make it last!
