Summary: scholarly and informative, if not exciting
Review: This book provides an introductory overview of the history of Mesopotamia and Egypt. It was considered reliable by a respected professor of Near Eastern Studies when I was in college and I continue to return to it to brush up on my Assyriolgy and Eqyptology.
