Summary: Posh Pugs!
Review: Nice book about and for people who pamper their Pugs. Not intended to be a "useful training tool" (I don't know where the reviewer below got the impression that it was supposed to be..!) but just a cute fluffy book about a select group of upscale NYC pugs and their eccentric owners. Photos and more info of "Pug Hill" in Central Park would have been nice (but perhaps too common?). Makes a good mini-coffee table book or x-mas gift for your uppity Pug pals.

Summary: A truely great book for Pug lovers
Review: Pugs are a unique breed and if you like Pugs or know someone who does they will LOVE this book! It is gorgeous with many great pictures of Pugs all over New York. It doesn't have much information on the breed but that is not the point of it, its a small coffee table book with some lovely anecdotes about Pugs. I am away from home at uni so when I miss my Pug I flip through this book!
I definitely recommend it!

The book consists of photos of pugs in costumes at tea parties and the like. Also included is information about pricey pug accessories, my favorite being the $19,000 pug carrier in red crocodile with a sterling dog bowl and a cashmere blanket (if you're interested, contact Asprey & Garrand, NYC). In short, this book is written for wealthy, old women with money to burn on indulging their pugs. If you're looking for real information on the breed, keep looking.

Review: This is the perfect gift for a Pug owner! If you love dogs, especially Pugs, this is your book. Darling bios on pugs and their owners. Should be titled "Pugs in the City". This is an homage to the breed not a training book or breed standard information. This is pug entertainment.

Review: What a great book! As a pug owner and lover I can tell you that this book is a joy to own! Any dog lover knows that pugs and their owners are definately unique...and Ms. Farr's interesting stories of both are fun to read again and again. The pictures are wonderful..from the charming to the very silly. I loved it!
