Summary: I found this book to be inspiring and informative.
Review: As an artist working in glass, I found this book to be inspiring and informative. The inclusion of many different artists work expressed the diversity of the medium. It also demonstrates how one particular technique can be used to achieve many different expressions.

The technical "recipes," offered in this book are fantastic. They enable one to take an artistic idea, and turn it into reality, with limited experimentation. Sharing this technical information is a brave thing. Thank-You Lucartha Kohler!!!!

Summary: Gorgeous!
Review: Kohler's book is a beautiful compilation of hot glass techniques. Beginning with a brief history of this centuries-old craft, she then discusses various methods of forming hot glass, presenting them first with an artist's appreciation, and then with simple explanations/directions to imitate the featured technique. The book is richly illustrated and inspiring--I found myself marking several pages with technique I wanted to try.

The book is a bargain at this price--it's hard cover, beautifully illustrated in full color, and thick enough to keep you coming back for more.
