Rating: Summary: Creative Home Design: Rooms for Everyday Living Review: This book is a wonderful design book. The photos are inspiring and show a broad range of modern and welcoming styles. The text accompanying them is very straightforward and details what limitations or problems the design overcame. It is difficult to imagine that the rooms will become dated - they appear to be very fresh, sensuous and appealing. I was able to take some ideas from various rooms and incorporate into my place. This book is very inspirational and allows one to view work of top designers and architects not readily accessible to the public.
Rating: Summary: not very creative Review: With the word creative in the title I was expecting a more original style of decorating, or at least a broader range of styles. Instead, the style of this book is primarily tradional/cosmopolitan. I do not like that style, so that is probably why I don't like this book. I found it rather boring. The photos are not too bad, but nothing special. I have to admit I was too turned off by the photos to bother reading much of the text, so perhaps the written information would be more useful to people, but I doubt it. Two other definitely more useful books would be The Kitchen Planner and Better Homes and Gardens Complete Kitchens. I reccomend that you skip this book.
