Review: If you are a beginner, this would be the book for you. It is simply written. The book covers the basics of pastel and limited information on perspective, color theory, and atmospheric distance. I was disappointed in the book because for the money spent, I expected an adult book. The book is a thin soft cover paperback. It would be great for a 12-15 year old. Any other pastel book would cover the same basics and more. Gardens in Pastel would be a good checklist/reminder for painting on location.
