Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: Up until I read this book, I thought of countertops as something purely abstract, to be pondered while reading Wittgenstein or just fantasized about. But Fu-Tung Cheng has broadened my horizons with this book, that's for sure. Before I read this masterpiece, my tomatoes were constantly falling on the floor and my rice cooker was always perched precariously on the windowsill. Now I am a new woman! I have a sidewalk right in my kitchen to put my Cuisinart upon. Sometimes vandals come and toss cigarette butts and chewing gum onto my countertops, but I pay them no mind because I am now living in a world free from abstractions.
Rating: Summary: Colored Concrete Review: What a novel idea. I've alway seen the off shade of grey. And the shapes were amazing. Truely opened my eyes to the flexibily of working in this medium. I've even convinced the wife to allow me to try a countertop for our downstairs bar which we need to replace. Also I went on the authors web site, www.chengdesign.com and he sells a Neomix concrete countertop kit. Premixed colors etc. He has something like 8 colors to choose from.
