Summary: THE BEST FLORIDA GARDEN BOOK IN THE WORLD!
Review: I love plants and gardens! I never knew how to create a garden that would last and look great! This book has wonderful photos and is VERY easy to read and plan with. YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS ONE!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Excellent text, but photos not so good
Review: The writing in this book was very good, and I especially liked that the author had personally tested the plants for this difficult climate. But, unfortunately many of the photos were blurry and unprofessional looking. Since the photos are always a favorite part for me of any plant book this did detract from an otherwise very good book. I will look for her next book Best Color Garden for Florida in a bookstore before buying so I can see that the photos don't have the same poor quality.

Summary: Excellent book for the beginning gardener
Review: This book is thoughtfully written and is so easy to use as a reference. I was able to design and plant a gorgeous, hearty garden with the ideal plants for our hot, sunny yard. I highly recommend this book!!!

Summary: Central Florida Gardener
Review: This looks like a wonderful book, but I live in Tampa. Central Florida is a gardening transition zone and many of the plants listed in this book will not work for me. I thought this book was going to be revised in 2004 to cover more of Florida. I am really looking forward to that. I have not bought this book yet, but will when the revision is complete. I have been watching for it for over a year.
