Summary: Don't stay home without it!
Review: For 25+ years in my native Northern California I used the magnificent Sunset Western Garden Book as my garden "bible". How wonderful that they have come up with one for the Northeast just when I needed it! I wish they would show what these plants will look like at 5 years, 10 years, 20+ years old to give a better idea of how it would look in your garden over time.

Summary: THE BEST OF THE BEST OF GARDENING BOOKS
Review: It is not that this book contains anything that is not contained in any quality book, but it is the fact there is SO MUCH information that makes this a must-have book. It is quite a large volume, a complete encyclopedia in fact, and contains information on approximately 6,000 plants, climate zones and absolutely everything you want to know about plants, many familiar ones and several less common. The book is factual, well organized and has nice illustrations. Being from Eastern Canada, it has been difficult to find a top-notch book that sufficently covers our area and climate. This book definitely has it all; from the novice to the expert, you will be impressed.

Review: This book has been so completely helpful. So many other books, I look up plants but then find that the won'tt grow in my area. This book is my new gardening bible!
