Summary: Disappointed
Review: Had read several positive reviews of this book and chose to add it to my quilting collection. Then I decided to make one of the quilts - Drunkard's Path - knowing it was one of the more difficult patterns. However, being an experienced quilter, I thought I was up to the task. Well, the directions from beginning to end were not only poorly explained but in several instances incorrect. Some of the fabric measurements were so off that even though I had purchased extra amounts, I had to go back and buy additional fabric. If I could give this book a zero rating I would.

Review: I also saw this author on Simple Quilts on HGTV and knew I had to have this book. There is so much information and so many new things to learn. The instructions and diagrams are so easy to understand and follow. I am glad I purchased this book and I read and re-read it all the time-Dont want to miss any of it.

Summary: Not a "Complete" Guide to Quiting, as the title indicates
Review: I am a beginning quilter and thought that a book with "Complete Guide to Quiltmaking" is its title would be just that, but it isn't. There is not one illustration of a person demonstrating a quilting technique. Oh, there are diagrams of patterns and pictures of quilts, but they were not sufficient for me to understand. For instance, the bias binding technique is limited to one sentence, whereas in Marsha McCloskey's Quick Classic Quilts, a whole page (with 5 pictures!) is dedicated to the technique. Guess which one I use? My other quilting reference book is the Singer Quilting Bible. The book, Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!!, sits gathering dust.

Summary: Excellent teaching guide
Review: I found Quilts, Quilts, Quilts to be a very well written and informative book for instructing beginning quilters. The projects were based on simple shapes and there was a good discussion about color, style and personal preference. Some techniques needed to be updated, but other than that, I thought it was a very thorough introduction to quilting.

Summary: Quilts, Quilts, Quilts
Review: Initially very excited about this book, looked very interesting but on further reading discovered that some of the instructions for making the samplers weren't easy to follow, even with the help of a more experienced quilter, not really for a novice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The only quilt book I'll ever need!
Review: Quilts!Quilts!!Quilts!!! has all the information I need to create my own masterpiece quilt. The book's photographs are awesome and inspiring! The directions are clear and concise. There are so many patterns I can't decide which one to make first.
