Review: I've been reading Barbara's books for over 10 years now. I first came across her work when I wanted to start a business as a crafter in the early 1990's and read her craft business books like a Bible--they were incredibly helpful in helping me get started in that business. Now that I've transitioned out of that into a coach working with women's small business owners, many of whom are working from home, I think I've found a new Bible for the home-based professional. Homemade Money: Starting Smart is a must-see for anyone contemplating starting a business from home! It really is an "A-Z Crash Course" in everything one might need to begin a home-based biz, from coming up with the idea to opening the doors and welcoming customers. The resources section alone is worth many times the cost of the book--it's incredibly comprehensive and will save anyone hours and hours of research, and the interviews she conducts with successful home business owners are incredibly insightful and motivating (my interview is on page 113). I highly recommend both volumes of Homemade Money for any of my coaching clients who want a comprehensive and realistic overview of the life and times of a home business owner.
