Summary: One of the best - "Teach Myself to Sew" books around!
Review: One of the best "Teach myself to Sew" Books around. Not just for kids either!! And if you want to know what the other books that are great are - The rest of the set!

Loads of fun activities, easy instructions, great pictures, easy to read for school age and up, games, everything you can ask for!

For me this is the book that started it all as I now have two copies of the entire series and the newest one on order. A definate must have for the whole set, not just this one.

The books started with a sewing class for real live kids... and the books have increadible authors! A real treasure. It will get you started and leave you wanting more fun!

Summary: GREAT WAY FOR KIDS TO LEARN TO SEW
Review: Patience is not one of my virtues, so this was the perfect way to "teach" my child to sew. After I showed her the basics of my machine, my daughter was able to teach herself the basics of sewing. We both loved the book.

Summary: Excellent workbook and game formate to teach sewing to kids.
Review: This book is wonderful to teach kids how to sew with a machine in a simple step by step format. Using the sewing machine kids complete mazes, dot to dots and other games to learn how to stitch, thread a machine, care of a sewing machine and more. After learning basic stitches the kids complete projects that can even be used as gifts. After completion of the activities there is a sewing club that can be joined. There are several more books in the series that continue teaching sewing machine skills as well as moving on to machine quilting and giving ideas for more gifts to make and give. I am using this series as part of my home schooling curriculum. Even boys are excited about sewing because the projects included are appropriate for both boys and girls of various ages. I would highly recommend this book and others in the series.
