Review: I got this for Christmas and was pretty excited about painting by numbers again for the first time since childhood. The package is pretty, the book was interesting and gave step-by-step instructions, and the canvasses were inviting. The first two paints I mixed and applied went well. But the next four ranged from watery to very watery. The paint was so thin, I could see the numbers on the painted areas. Also, one color was supposed to be purple, according to the illustration in the book and on the paper pallette, but the instructions were to mix navy blue and white. I tried adding some red, but it just came out muddy . . . and the paint ran because red was one of the watery ones. The kit includes a fine brush and a thick brush, but for many areas you need a very fine brush, maybe three hairs. Finally, the kit should include paper copies of the canvasses. Some areas are so tiny, the numbers of the colors are in adjacent painting areas. Once you paint the adjacent area, how do you know which color to use on the tiny areas? I tried making sketches, but it was awkward. After an hour, I threw the whole kit in the trash!

Review: Luv this kit ! I have absolutely no artistic ability and when I got done I was painting like Monet. A great gift for kids too.
