Review: I bought this as a holiday present to myself and am so glad I did. The kit really does have everything you need (except for scissors) to get started on embroidering cute patterns right away. I've never embroidered anything before, but within an hour or so of reading the easy-to-follow instructions and trying to choose from the many adorable atterns, I began my first embroidery project ever and finished a tea towel design (with a cute pink poodle) in one evening. Everything about the kit seems to have been carefully designed, from the sweet, reusable box packaging, to the floss colors in hip 60's colors like lime green, pink, and baby blue, to Jenny Hart's instruction book, which is encouraging and inspiring. Now I can't wait to embroider a bright red strawberry on the lapels of my vintage blouse, or a blue bird on a bag... Go get this kit now!

Summary: EMBROIDERY IS THE NEW ROCK AND ROLL!
Review: I can't tell you how much I love Jenny Hart's designs. Not only did she launch a super cool company, Sublime Stitching, that offers needlework patterns that are anything BUT geese in bonnets, she designed this great kit for uber-hip publisher Chronicle Books. My favorite patterns are the rock guitars! This is the first needlework instructional that actually explains how to start embroidering in simple, straightforward and conversational language that isn't stodgy or grandmotherly. It's actually very entertaining to read, and comes with all the supplies you need (needle, hoop, thread, patterns, fabric and illustrated book with photos of her projects) in a really slick and handy box with a lid. I love it, I love it, I love it. Not only are all my family members getting something embroidered from me this Christmas, many of them are also getting Stitch-It Kit.

Review: I got this on a whim along with the "World of knitted toys" book, because I wanted to get the free shipping. I am so glad that I did!

I don't know of any current designer of embroidery patterns who is as modern and hip and fun (and simple!) as Jenny Hart's. I didn't see mention of her website in the kit which suprised me. Maybe I missed it though.

I am a COMPLETE newb to embroidery and the instructions where VERY easy to follow and I really enjoyed reading them. I think an experienced person might not get to much from that part of it but its comes with a BUNCH of patterns, like 30 or something I think. It's a huge pile of them.

Anways I ADORE this KIT! I highly reccoomend it. Who knew it could be so easy!?!

Review: I have to say, I am SO happy Jenny came out with this kit. I've been embroidery for about 2 years, and there is NOTHING on the market that have cute and hip designs. Her kit is well worth the money, you pretty much get everything you need to start embroidering, except for the scissors. The intructional book is very easy to follow. I believe anybody can get into this hobby, it's inexpensive, fun and simple. THANK YOU JENNY FOR COMING OUT WITH THIS KIT!!!

Review: I love Jenny Hart's products at SublimeStitching.com! Embroidery is a fun and surprisingly simple, relaxing pastime and this kit provides a great booklet for anyone looking to learn or improve their skills.

The patterns are fun for all skill levels. They are whimsical and varied! It's a great deal for the price because you won't find these patterns anywhere else. I love it and I can't wait to make all kinds of towels, sheets, pillowcases, embellished clothes, totebags and on and on!

Review: I loved Jenny's website and saw she was offering this kit. Luckily I found it after it was published or I would have been itching to do some stitching. ;-) I got the set in today and aside from being super cute and graphically pleasing it is very informative! I love all of the exclusive patterns only in this kit. And after reading the book, I understand all of her embroidery stitches and how to begin my journey of the craft. I am an absolute beginner, have never made a stitch of any kind before and hope that one day I may reach Jenny's level. Thanks Jenny for such a great set!!!

Review: Jenny, Jenny, Jenny...this is the best thing since sliced bread! The kit, as stated has everything you need to make anything you have more fabulous! I had ordered 3 other sets of patterns from her site and they have been nothing but wonderful. I can't wait to go home (I just received the kit at work) and embroider my evenings away - much to my hubands chagrin. Simple instructions and hugely cool patterns make Jenny Hart's book worth it's weight in gold - Here's to you darling for a grand job!!

Even the most fumble-fingered crafter (namely, well, ME) can stitch these patterns! But be warned - read all the instructions (doesn't take long) and take Ms Hart's advice on things such as stitching on t-shirt fabric (a pain to do) and how to properly transfer your pattern. She's experienced and can save you a lot of frustration by steering you clear of common mistakes.

Comes with all you need - needles, fabric, patterns, embroidery thread (called floss). Cute little box too!

Review: Within hours of opening this kit, I had embellished the eiffel tower on a t shirt for my daughter to wear. So simple! At first I was concerned the little instruction book was too short to have the type of information a beginner like myself would need, but that's the secret. The author tells you plainly in a conversational style exactly what to do. I was stitching in no time and my first try is proudly displayed on my daughter's t-shirt. Don't hesitate to buy this book if are a beginner and have been wanting to add embroidery to your repertoire of sewing skills.

Review: Yes, Jenny Hart does have the coolest-of-the-cool do-it-yourself craft websites out there, SublimeStitching.com. I could rave about Ms. Jenny and her Stitch-It Kit, but everyone else has beat me to the punch-ola. So, I'll give you the low-down on what you'll be getting in exchange for less money than the cost of a McDonald's meal for four ...

First, there's the instruction guide. The book begins with the "Introduction," which explains exactly why embroidery is so cool - it beats the heck out of a night of couch-potato-ing, and you end up with something unique and not a la Target. The "Tools of the Trade" section quickly (notice I didn't say "laboriously") describes the needles, floss, material, hoop, and patterns necessary for a quick-and-simple embroidery project (is there a cheaper hobby out there?). In "Let's Get Started," Ms. Jenny explains how to apply the pattern to the fabric and get the fabric into the hoop - voila! From there, you can quickly jump to the "Stitch Diagrams" section, where the techniques behind the simple stitches known as split stitch, stem stitch, back stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, scalloping chain, detailed chain (aka laisy daisy stitch), and French knot are explained with step-by-step illustrations. If all you ever did was learn the simple back stitch, you could pop out fabulouso embroidery for the rest of your days. "Behind the Seams" contains some helpful hints, as well provides a platform for Ms. Jenny to decry the evils of fusible interfacing (aren't you glad to know you don't have to search for, buy, or use something as evil-sounding as "fusible interfacing"?). The book ends with one page of online and hard copy resources for embroidery techniques.

For inspiration, sprinkled throughout the book are full-page color photos of items embroidered with Ms. Jenny's creations, including a blouse collar embroidered with cherries; an embroidered napkin sporting a teapot, tea cup and strawberry; a baby's onesie decorated with a demure poodle; a skirt with a simple decorative border; pillow cases adorned with Paris motiffs and beauty aids; a tank top bearing one large anchor; a fabulous tiki sitting atop a shirt pocket; ties displaying a dancing hula girl and a vintage guitar; and a baby's bib decorated with a 1940s blue bird. What more do you need to get your creative juices juicing?

Just so you'll have no excuse to not immediately begin stitching, the kit includes a medium-sized plastic embroidery hoop, an embroidery needle, two tea towels, and seven skeins of embroidery floss (light blue, pink, red, yellow, light green, tan-brown, and black). Oh, wait - I've forgotten Ms. Jenny's reason for being - THE PATTERNS!! All of this is delivered to you in a little box that can repose on your bookshelf, sit on your nightstand, or hide under your car seat.
