Rating: Summary: You'd better have children under age 10! Review: While this book is well organized and has clear instructions for a wide variety of stitches, as a beginning knitter I am incredibly frustrated to find that almost all of the patterns - with the exception of a few difficult looking sweaters toward the end of the book - are designed to be worn by children up to age 10. So the whole premise of the book....increasing your skills as you move from beginning to more advanced projects.... does not seem to apply for anyone who either has no children, or whose children are older. Even the final chapter on designing your own sweaters says, "In this workshop you will be shown how to compile a very basic pattern for a child's sweater." This book should be called "How to Knit for Your Child." Get "The Big Book of Knitting," instead!
