Summary: A Puppy Owner Who Needed a Refresher Course
Review: I love this book! I borrowed several books from our public library on Dog Training after adding a new puppy to our household. I have always had dogs and don't consider myself as a 'beginner' dog owner. The information in Dr. Fogle's book is written in a clear, concise manner. Lots of pictures for reinforcment of instructions. Would be excellent for a first time dog owner! I read it cover to cover in one evening. That is something a busy mom of 4 can really appreciate! Some material I already knew, some I needed to be reminded of and some was completely new. I am going to purchase this book as a 'keeper'.

Summary: Great Book for Those Just Learning About Dog Training
Review: I purchased this book for my son (age 14) when he received a puppy for his birthday. It is fantastic. The steps of dog training are explained in a very simple manner with lots of pictures. Both he and I used the techniques described in the book to train the puppy (a Sheltie). Within a few weeks, the dog was able to sit, give us his paw and lie down on command. I am going to buy another copy of this book to give to my brother and his wife, who just purchased a puppy.
