Review: LOVED IT! Of the many books, magazines, and articles this is the one I keep referring back to. As the first time owner of a pug puppy it answered ALL my questions and helped immensely with the first few days adjustment. A must have that talks specifically about PUGS, a special breed in many ways.

Summary: No better book is available for the new pug owner
Review: Maggitti relates (with a wonderful sense of humor) the joys and trials of living with a pug. He clearly delineates the drawbacks (massive shedding, snoring and breed specific ailments) and the rewards (which are delightfully numerous) of making a pug your best friend. Has lovely pictures, and is short and to the point -- the best information in a concise (but more than sufficient) and entertaining form.

Summary: Great Introduction to the "fist".
Review: The cover alone is the worth the price of this book-how could you resist a face like that??? The book also has great colour pictures between it's covers-all of them of cute little pugs :)I bought this book several years ago because I was interested in this little toy. Not only did this little breed play a part in Chinese royalty, it also plays a huge part in modern British royalty. It is well documented that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor had several pugs throughout thier life together. It is a basic introduction to the Pug. The only reason that I gave it four stars was because it was written by a pug fanacier. A person should really read a book (about any breed) that is written from an unbiased author.

Review: Thinking of buying a pug? Better get this book first to help you decide. Everything you need to know about a pug is in this book. From grooming to sickness to training. Well... maybe not everything, it doesn't say that pugs have a certain smell even if you bathe them regularly :) It's still a complete guide for any pug owner or wanna be pug owner.

Review: This book was fun. Not only did Maggitti use very adorable photos he had useful introductory info on pugs. His charming stories made me laugh and I feel more confident in my pug search now. The info was just introductory however, I would have liked to have more detailed research on choosing a pug, questions to ask breeders and vets. I bought it used and it was in mint condition. 4 stars

Summary: A great little puggie-book!
Review: This is a great little book about a great little dog-breed. It's simple yet sufficient and answers most of any pug-lovers questions. I also like the fact that it's written by a pug-lover and -owner because it adds another dimension to the book. The little real-life stories are amusing, and I dont't trust "common" dog-books that are just kinda re-written to tell a few facts about a certain breed.
I truly recomend it!

Review: Well, not really. However, this should be the first Pug book you buy, and it may be the only one you will need. Not only is it helpful, it has some great stories about the author's own Pugs. Buy this book before you buy your Pug.
