Rating: Summary: Miss Trixie tells you how to enjoy life Review: For certain, we weren't all blessed with her beauty or her poise, nor that glorious golden-brown hair or those big brown eyes. But we, mere humans that we are, can still learn how to be happy, and Trixie tells us how. First of all, you should relish every morsel you put in your mouth. Good food is sure to lift your spirits. I know it makes Me happy! Secondly, getting your rest is a must if you're to have the energy to enjoy life. So, sleep as much as you possibly can. Last, you must learn to be playful. So many humans forget to play. We're so busy going to work, taking care of the family, cooking, cleaning, that we neglect our playful natures. Get back to the basics: Good food, good rest, and playing. This lovely gift book is simply a reminder that all work and no play isn't good for a soul, whether it's a pooch's soul or a human soul. Remember to be joyful. The photographs of Trixie and her dad (Dean Koontz) were charming. Trixie's obviously a very lovable canine. Generous too, because she's donating her earnings to Canine Companions for Independence.
Rating: Summary: Move over Dean Review: I am honored to possess a copy signed by Trixie (she claims her master only paid her cookies, the brute), and I have to say THIS DOG HAS TALENT! Although she can be opinionated (peeing on other author's works) who could fail to love a book that teaches us so much about enjoying life, from taking longer naps to learning to drool more? I'm looking forward to her next book when hopefully she will delve deep and finally tell the true story of her life as a cat, the REINCARNATION WE DO NOT SPEAK OF.
Rating: Summary: absolutely delightful Review: I bought the first book at Borders (couldn't wait) and then I ordered four more through Amazon. I gave them to my friends that I knew would enjoy it and, of course, they did. I had read some of Trixie's stories on her dad's web site (www.deankoontz.com) and found them truly wonderful. The text and photographs are terrific. I can't recommend this book more highly. I don't even have a dog and I think this book is number one. It's thoughtful and insightful and will give you something to think about. I will read it over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Heartwarming Tail Review: I read this book almost every night before going to sleep. It smoothes away the drearies of the day and puts me back to what is true and simple reality. 'Life is Good' is like its authoress, Trixie, who is dog. Absolutely p-e-r-f-e-c-t in all ways. Tell your dad that I love all of his books too!
Rating: Summary: All the joys of a dog with no allergic reaction Review: In my younger years, my family always had a dog. But when I got older, my allergies kicked in and now I can't even be around them. This book reminded me of all the wonderful things I'm missing. Dogs inspire joy. Don't ask me why or how. They just do. And somehow Dean and Trixie have been able to summarize that joy into the beautiful pages of this book. This is a great book for all dog lovers and for those annoying cat people so they can see what they're missing!
Rating: Summary: This book makes you smile! Review: This book is great, and I would recommend for any dog lover especially golden retriever lovers!
Rating: Summary: A must read for anyone living with a Golden Retriever Review: Trixie's book was given to my wife and I as a gift because she knows just how much we love Golden Retrievers. If you "know" a Golden, you will see her or him in every photo and every sentence of this book. This book is a must have for anyone who loves Golden Retrievers.
