Rating: Summary: A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Review: Heisey Glass 1896-1957 is indeed a thing of beauty suitable for display in your home as well as a wonderful reference book. I found this book to be very easy to understand. I am a novice Heisey collector and was able to learn a lot from the pictures and descriptions in the book. The color pictures are very well presented. The black and white photos, catalog pages and other renderings are of good quality and easy to interpret. One thing I particularly like is that there are several ways to cross-reference the glass. The book covers Heisey Glass by decade so you can look up the period of time and see what was made during that period. Each pattern is listed by name, the time period, colors, comments and photos, catalog pages or line drawings and a price guide. There is also an alphabetical index. I thought this book was excellent in its content and presentation. It exceeded my expectations based on other books I have read by Tom and Neila Bredehoft. Well done! I will be looking for more books like this in the future.
