Review: This is a good book, but not a great one. I thought it jumped around and did not really have the detail needed for me to put all the information together and produce a great finish. Often the author only describes a single way of performing a step when there are common alternatives. Some important details between steps are missing or too hard to find. I also have Flexner's book "Understanding Wood Finishing" and much prefer it.
