Review: Jan Smiley's book is top notch. She has numerous examples of batiks used well, projects to get the beginner and more experienced quilter going, and a gallery of excellent quilts, both traditional and innovative.

She has even included instructions for making your own batiks. The photographs alone are worth the price of the book, as good as going to a quilt show in your own living room.
