Rating: Summary: fighting dog breeds Review: dr.fleig should have done more research before writing.Theres no proof that molossers started in tibet .its simply re- written material.Non functional sour mugs are presented as bulldogs."Billy"the champ from the rat pits wasnt a bull terrier either,he was a manchester terrier. The french bulldog and pug should not even be in the book.Dr. fleig should stick to writing about what he knows,AKC show dogs.

Rating: Summary: A Welcome Relief From The Usual Book Of This Type! Review: Wow, a scholarly book on a subject too often represented in a rather low-brow fashion. The author states his facts and opinions clearly, consistantly and for the most part fairly. (Every once in a while he gets a little defensive about the English national character, but as a German, I guess that is forgivable!) Really nice photos round this wonderful book out. Get it and enjoy it.Diane Jessup, author: The Working Pit Bull and Colby's Book of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
